American Gem Society Laboratories (AGSL)

In 1996, the American Gem Society, which was founded in 1934, joined with a group of investors to form the American Gem Society Laboratories (AGSL). They bring years of experience to the diamond grading industry and strive to offer consumers accurate, unbiased diamond analysis. The AGSL is comprised of a network of member laboratories that must adhere to rigorous training requirements and uncompromising standards. Only laboratories of the highest ethical standards and professional qualifications are deemed worthy to carry the AGS patronage; making the AGSL a trusted body within the diamond retail industry and among the gem buying public.
